HARDWARE - HOW TO INSTALL AND TROUBLESHOOT ASSA ABLOY HARDWARE
Course Description
This course trains the member in how to prepare a slab door and install various ASSA ABLOY commercial closers, locks, and exit devices. Members will learn installation skills for the field and prepare themselves for participation in the ASSA ABLOY Certified Installer program. The course also includes door closer and exit device adjustments, troubleshooting, and other tips.
Special Instructions
Tools and/or supplies needed: Clear safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, work boots, notebook, highlighters, smooth face hammer, tape measure, utility knife, 4-in-1 combination screwdriver (#1 and #2 Phillips and straight), 10” long #2 Phillips screwdriver, 10” long #3 Phillips screwdriver, 6”-12” combination square, center punch, 6"- 24" level, sharp 3/4" or 1" chisel, and adjustable pliers.
