TRIM - INTERIOR TRIM - BASICS
Course Description
This course includes types of trim & their purposes; cutting and installation of various trim members including base, shoe, door and window casing, chair rail, crown and multiple member trims in various geometric configurations. Proper selection and use of various trim tools will be discussed and demonstrated. Cutting and shaping flat miters, vertical miters and coped joints will be demonstrated and practiced.
Special Instructions
Tools and/or supplies needed: Clear safety glasses/goggles, work boots, hard hat, tape measure, tool belt/apron, coping saw, block plane, (2) wood files - half round and round, trim hammer, combination square, utility knife, flat bar, end nippers, scribers, sliding T-bevel, pen/pencil, notebook and highlighter.
