This course informs the members of the proper installation procedures for a manufactured window. ASTM E2112 and AAMA 2400 standard practice guidelines for window installation are covered in the classroom as well as different types of window flashings, and terminology. The hands on training covers the flashing of the wall prior to installation, the installation of a window using ASTM 2112 standards and then finish with using materials that complete a water tight installation. How to perform a water test and the reasons to conduct a test of a completed window installation are also discussed.
Tools and/or supplies needed: Clear safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, work boots, basic tool bags, hammer, utility knife, spare blades, pen/pencil and notebook.
