Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Mid America Carpenters Regional Council logo

It is my sincere honor to announce the new name and rebrand for our newly combined Regional Council: Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council (MACRC). Our new jurisdiction is vast, covering more than 300 counties across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Eastern Iowa.

In consultation with the UBC, we concurred on the name Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council based on a few different factors, the most important being it defines our jurisdiction and allows for continued growth and expansion. We now boast a membership of more than 50,000 hardworking men & women, making us one of the largest Regional Councils in the UBC. I have every expectation that MACRC will be the standard-bearer in our Brotherhood and a juggernaut for years to come.

Both the Chicago and St. Louis-Kansas City Regional Councils are rich with tradition as the birthplace of the UBC and the location where our Union was first organized. Our new logo preserves some of that storied history by using some of the color schemes and typefaces of previous logos, and it includes the UBC emblem that unites us all and serves as a symbol of our Union’s ideals.

Despite the name change, we will continue to be unwavering in our mission to improve the lives of our members, partners, and the communities in which we live and work. Since 1881 we have provided a voice for the working class and a foundation of skill-advancement training for career progression, and we will never lose sight of that focus.

I thank you for your continued enthusiasm and patience as we navigate the reorganization of two proud Regional Councils into one that will set the standard for what a Union can achieve. While we are Strong Alone, we are Unstoppable Together.

In Solidarity,

Gary Perinar
Executive Secretary-Treasurer
Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council
