After more than 50 years of combined service on the General Executive Board, General Vice President Douglas J. Banes and General Secretary-Treasurer Andris J. Silins are retiring. Words cannot properly express the gratitude I have for their years of dedication and for all they have helped to achieve for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. I’m sure you all join me in wishing them a happy and healthy retirement.
Due to their retirements, the following positions will be filled as follows effective April 1, 2019:
Frank Spencer, General Vice President. Brother Spencer has been serving as Second General Vice President, and prior to that served as Eastern District Vice President.
David Tharp, Second General Vice President. Brother Tharp has been serving as Midwestern District Vice President, and prior to that was Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters.
Michael Capelli, General Secretary-Treasurer. Brother Capelli has been serving as Eastern District Vice President, and prior to that as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters.
Mark McGriff, Midwestern District Vice President. Brother McGriff currently serves as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters.
William Waterkotte, Eastern District Vice President. Brother Waterkotte currently serves as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Keystone Mountain Lakes Regional Council of Carpenters.
